JONATHAN COOPER (MANAGING PARTNER)
Jonathan Cooper is the Managing Partner of Veruna Minerals, leading the development of high-potential gold and critical metals projects in Sonora, Mexico, including La Cienega, La Cabota, and Dos Kilos. A serial entrepreneur and company builder, Jonathan has founded and scaled multiple ventures across mining, technology, and sustainable industries — most notably ebbu, acquired by Canopy Growth Corporation for C$429 million. With over two decades of experience in building teams, securing capital, and bringing complex projects to market, he brings a track record of turning vision into reality. At Veruna, Jonathan’s mission is to blend historic mining legacies with modern, responsible methods that create lasting value for communities, investors, and the planet.
GREG FERDOCK (VP OF EXPLORATION)
Bringing 36 years of invaluable mining exploration experience to the table, Greg Ferdock has been a stalwart in evaluating mining opportunities since 1994. Notably, his contributions include the discovery of over 3 million ounces of gold hosted at Goldstrike Stock and the development of the first model of the hydrothermal system responsible for the Carlin Gold System. With a history of managing budgets exceeding $1 billion and leading teams of 128 individuals in both civilian and military occupations, Greg Ferdock is a driving force behind Veruna's success.
SALIM MARTINEZ (HEAD OF MEXICO EXPLORATION)
With 25 years of geological exploration experience in Mexico, specifically around Sonora, Salim Martinez is a seasoned professional in the field. His expertise extends to significant excavation operations and over a decade of exploring La Cienega. Salim is well-versed in managing multiple exploration teams, contributing substantially to Veruna's exploration endeavors in the region.
